If you’re staying at the Pau Hana or Pono Condos, Aloha Vibes is just a 10-minute walk from the building and one of the more popular spots in Kailua-Kona. While it’s not one of our personal favorites (it has a slightly higher-end feel and the prices can be on the steeper side), it’s a popular spot.
The location is hard to beat. Right on Ali‘i Drive, it offers beautiful ocean views and is especially lovely at sunset. The vibe is polished but still laid-back enough to feel like Hawaii, making it a favorite for both locals and visitors looking for a nice evening out.
The menu gets a lot of praise, especially for its focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The poke bowls are a big hit, with plenty of fresh fish and flavorful toppings. They also offer a vegan version with tofu and local veggies that’s been highly recommended. The seared ahi salad is another standout—it’s simple but really well done. For something more filling, the smash burgers are a crowd favorite and hit the spot when you’re in the mood for comfort food.
Aloha Vibes offers a solid happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 5 PM, making it a great spot to unwind in the late afternoon. The drink specials include $5 Steinlagers, $10 Pau Lilikoi Mules, and discounted well drinks and house wines at $8 each. If you’re into trying something new, check out their Cocktail of the Week for $10. They also knock $2 off all draft beers, which is a nice touch. Pair your drink with one of their pupus (appetizers) like the Dynamite Fries for $8 or Korean Chicken Wings for $14.
It’s worth noting that Aloha Vibes isn’t the most budget-friendly option in the area, but many people feel the quality and experience make it worth it. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a nice meal with a great view, it’s definitely worth considering. If you do check it out, we’d love to hear what you think—especially if you try any of their signature dishes!
